Promoting Cycling in Canada Bay
BayBUG was formed to promote the use of bicycles for transport and recreation, as a means to improve quality of life and protect our environment.
Regular Weekend Rides (departing from Concord & Concord West) catering for various levels, with a duration of 1-3 hours; longer rides are usually run once a month on the last Sunday of the month.
Adhoc Weekday Rides (in the City of Canada Bay or Sydney Olympic Park) catering for beginner/tentative bike riders.
Our Activities include working with local councils, the RTA and other bodies that provide for cyclists in and around Canada Bay, to improve and create safe cycling routes.
Membership is open to anyone who is interested in furthering the group's objectives.
2015 JerseyBayBUG has designed a new jersey. If you wish to purchase a jersey, we do not require any money yet, but we need to know:
1. Style - 4 choices
Mens relaxed fit | Mens race fit | Womens relaxed fit | Womens race fit
2. Zipper - 3/4 or full length (the Scody website sometimes says 40cm & sometimes full zip; we can have either zip with any style)
3. Sleeve length - short sleeve or long sleeve
4. Size - see sizing page on Scody website
Please respond to Geoff by Thursday March 12 - Email: firstname.lastname@example.org; Phone: 0407 006 874
Expect to pay about $90 for a short sleeved jersey (slightly more for long sleeved). This will vary however depending on the quantity we order. Some sample garments will be provided before purchase, so that you can see the styles and have a better idea of the sizes. Scody was chosen due to known good quality and because the jersey will be manufactured in Australia.
Our advocacy work is concentrated in the City of Canada Bay council area which spans the suburbs of: Rhodes, Liberty Grove, Concord West, North Strathfield, Concord, Mortlake, Breakfast Point, Cabarita, Canada Bay, Five Dock, Rodd Point, Wareemba, Russell Lea, Abbotsford, Chiswick, Drummoyne.
