You want to commute by bike but find it all a bit daunting? We can show you how to plan and where to ride. Come to our commuting day on ???? Contact ???? to register and get ride details. Entries close on What we will do: For the first hour we will give tips on commuting. - how to determine the best route. - which bikes are suitable. - how to set up a bike for commuting. - what gear to take. The second hour will be a ride into the city starting in Drummoyne and finish at ???. The route will use a combination of shared off road and on road paths. Come and join us for coffee and a chat afterwards. What you must bring: - Mechanically sound, road worthy bike. - A suitable helmet. - A responsible attitude. That is you must follow the road rules, show courtesy to other road and path users and act in accordance with the ride leader's instructions. -Important note. Ride participants must: - Be over 18 years of age. - Be able to ride a bike. - Be physically capable of doing the ride. The distance is approximately 10km. There are some hills to climb with moderate physical exertion. It is expected that each ride participant be able to ride 10km without difficulty. - Be competent and confident to ride a bike on a road carrying vehicular traffic. It is up to each participant to make their own arrangements for their return home. If the ride participant wishes to leave the ride before the finish they must inform the ride leader first. Ride leaders are not responsible for repairing any mechanical break downs. Participants must be able to use and take their own repair equipment or make their own arrangements to retrieve their bike should it become unrideable. The ride leader reserves the right to exclude any participant from the ride at any time. No reason for the exclusion need be given by the ride leader.
