BayBUG runs the following rides:

Saturday morning regular ride All Saturdays
Sunday morning regular ride All Sundays excluding the last Sunday of the month
Longer monthly rides Normally the last Sunday of month

New to BayBUG?
BayBUG members include both men and women with varying levels of fitness, skill and confidence. If you are interested in riding with BayBUG and don't really know which ride will be suitable for you, please refer to our Ride Grading page. If you are new to riding, please be aware of our Ride Requirements. You may also find it useful to view RTA's handbook for bicycle riders.

Most of our rides are advertised online in the Rides Calendar of PushOn provided by Bicycle NSW.

Weekly rides

These rides are normally 1 to 3 hours in duration and cater for new riders as well as advanced riders seeking a challenge; please refer below for more details:

Saturday morning regular ride
When Every Saturday
Start Departs 6:45am from the Victoria Ave entrance to Bicentennial Park
(300m West of Concord West Train Station)
(start time changes to 7:15am from 1st of June to 31st of August)
Route Typically a lap around Olympic Park and then back towards Majors Bay Rd Concord; proceed up towards Concord Hospital past Brays Bay Reserve and over Ryde Bridge; west along Parramatta River to Silverwater Bridge; cross Silverwater Bridge and then back east on the other side of the river

Sunday morning regular ride
When Every Sunday except the last Sunday of the month
Start Departs 7am from the car park at the corner of
Majors Bay Road and Brewer St CONCORD
(start time changes to 8 am from 1st of June to 31st of August)
Route Determined by consensus at the time of departure
Duration 1-2 hours
Distance Typically 20-30 kms
Grade Easy - medium; more details
Coffee Coffee stop mid-way or at the end

Monthly longer rides

These rides are longer (usually 3 to 5 hours) / more challenging than our regular rides and normally run monthly i.e. last Sunday of month.

Please note that decisions to cancel or shorten rides may be taken in the interests of the safety of riders, for example, in response to extreme weather conditions.

Concord - Prospect and return

Route By roads and cyclepaths to Prospect Reservoir with return via Fairfield and Parramatta
Distance 70 km
Grade For experienced riders; mostly on roads and cyclepaths
