New to BayBUG?
BayBUG members include both men and women with varying levels of fitness, skill and confidence. If you are interested in riding with BayBUG and don't really know which ride will be suitable for you, please refer to our Ride Grading page. If you are new to riding, please be aware of our Ride Requirements. You may also find it useful to view RTA's handbook for bicycle riders.

Most of our rides are advertised online in the Rides Calendar of PushOn provided by Bicycle NSW.

Saturday morning regular ride

Start Departs 6:45am from the car park near the Bennelong Road entrance of Bicentennial Park
(start time changes to 7:15am from 1st of June to 31st of August)
Route Typically a lap around Olympic Park and then back towards Majors Bay Rd Concord; proceed up towards Concord Hospital past Brays Bay Reserve and over Ryde Bridge; west along Parramatta River to Silverwater Bridge; cross Silverwater Bridge and then back east on the other side of the river

Distance Shorter rides of 20-30 kms and longer more challenging rides (normally monthly) of 30-100 kms

MILSONS POINT

Start 7am
Route From Concord over the Anzac, Pyrmont and Sydney Harbour Bridges for coffee at Milsons Point.

GLADESVILLE
When Sunday 12 February 2012
Start 7am
Route From Concord over the Parramatta River, through Putney and the rollercoaster of hills along Morrison Rd. Cross back over the River on the Gladesville Bridge (shared path) for coffee at Drummoyne. We also have another beginner ride starting at 8am - see below for details.

Route Through Concord West, across the Parramatta River on the John Whitton Bridge and ride through Meadowbank, West Ryde, Denistone and Eastwood for the exhilarating descent down Marsden Rd to the cycleway along the Parramatta River.

Route Along the Cooks River Cycleway, through Mascot and Botany to La Perouse for coffee and a swim.

Route Via Homebush West and Rookwood Necropolis (cemetery) to Lidcombe, returning along M4 cycleway and Sydney Olympic Park.

Route Follow the boundaries of the Municipality as closely as we can and discover some hidden back ways.

Start 7am
Route Head east over the Anzac Bridge, through the CBD and Woolloomooloo, to Rose Bay for coffee and a swim at Nielsen Park, Vaucluse. Then ride on to Watsons Bay for the ferry ride back to Circular Quay and ride home to Concord.
